Well, we shot 84% from the line on Tuesday night, think its time to end this “FT’s are the problem” rant. Look, I’m not trying to be difficult but you have to look at other reasons as to why IU has struggled. Its not free throw shooting. Did they shoot great against Minnesota? Absolutely not. If they would have hit more free throws down the stretch the game wouldn’t have been so close, I agree. However, thats not the reason we blew a 20 point lead. Lets be honest, IU doesn’t particularly play a solid 2-3 zone. The reason you would typically play a 2-3 zone is to shut down your opponents inside play. i.e. they wanted to take Mbakwe out of the game. The problem arises when you have guys like Austin and Dre Hollins that are lights out behind the arc. Thats exactly how they got back in the game, the best way to beat a 2-3 zone is to knockdown outside shots and they did.

Wisconsin game we just played like shit. No need to break this one down and to be honest I’m becoming more concerned about Crean’s X’s and O’s. His in game adjustments aren’t very effective and almost looks like he isn’t making any. We allowed the Badgers to do the one thing that we knew we couldn’t have happen and thats turn the game into a half court game. They took the shot clock down to 4-8 seconds every possession and seemed to hit the shot every time. Also doesn’t help when we shoot 25% and 37% from field and three point line. Hate to say it but the Hoosiers looked exposed on Tuesday night.
