Kansas City Royals 2013 Season Preview:

Manager: Ned Yost (4th Season)

2012 Record: 72-90 (3rd in AL Central)

Key Additions: P James Shields, P Ervin Santana, P Wade Davis, C George Kottaras

Key Losses: OF Wil Myers, P Joakim Soria, P Jake Odorizzi

2013 Outlook: The Kansas City Royals made waves during the offseason by trading away top prospect Wil Myers for James Shields.  They also added Ervin Santana and Wade Davis, which makes the pitching staff a much stronger group.

Add into the mix a group of young players with a ton of talent and endless upside, and Kansas City looks like a team ready to succeed. Ned Yost has to be happy with his Royals this season. They are playing great baseball in the Cactus League, and look like a solid team heading into the regular season.

The future might be now for Kansas City. With a great mix of young, talented players and some gritty veterans to help them along. Expect Kansas City to end the season with a winning record, and a second place finish in the AL Central.
