Miami Marlins 2013 Preview:

Manager: Mike Redmond (1st Season)

2012 Record: 69-93 (5th place in NL East)

Key Arrivals: 3B Chone Figgins, 1B Casey Kotchman, C Jeff Mathis, OF Juan Pierre

Key Losses: SS Jose Reyes, P Josh Johnson, P Mark Buehrle, C John Buck, 1B Carlos Lee, P Juan Carlos Oviedo, P Carlos Zambrano

2013 Outlook: All you need to look at are the names of those who the Marlins parted ways with to know what beholds them in 2013. The Great Fire Sale of ’12 will forever be looked upon as the day the Miami Marlins mailed it in. Jeffrey Loria is one of, if not the worst, owner in Major League Baseball. He has gutted the entire team, leaving star Giancarlo Stanton by himself to do any lifting that could possibly be done.

There is no real need to look at the rotation, batting order, or bullpen for Miami. Their 2013 outlook is probably the worst in baseball, which is where we expect them to finish. Not even the Houston Astros can be seen as an equal to Miami’s lack of Major League talent.
