The Control Room: Breaking Down The 2013 NBA Playoffs


The 2013 NBA and Stanley Cup playoffs are heating up and boys from The Control Room couldn’t be more excited. Rich Gray and Brett Harmon breakdown Round 1 on the NBA playoffs.

The Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs are resting up while all of the other teams in the league are still fighting to move on in the playoffs. The Oklahoma City Thunder have gone from a 3-0 series lead to only leading the Houston Rockets by a game. The series moves back to Houston tonight for a game 6 showdown. Another series that is getting interesting is the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics. The Celtics have battled their way back into a series after falling 3-0 to the Knicks. Rich and Brett explore the possibilities of either of these series going to a seventh game.When it comes to the Clippers and Grizzlies seires, Brett asks the question, “Will Vinny Del Negro lose his job if the Clippers lose in the first round?”

Rich’s Detroit Red Wings are alive and well in the NHL Playoffs. The guys make their Stanley Cup predictions in this week’s episode.

The guys touch on the Diamondbacks bullpen issues and some early season surprises in MLB. Finally, Rich and Brett discuss Jason Collins’ announcement and the next barrier to be broken down in sports.
