Three Rivers One Show: Pittsburgh Penguins Need a Win in Game Five

Most expected the playoff series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders to be over by now. With Pittsburgh playing as well as they have this season, the New York was an afterthought.

The Islanders have given the Penguins all they can handle through four games, and Pittsburgh needs a game five win to take control of their opening round series.

Matt Shetler and Matt Gajtka discuss Marc-Andre Fleury being replaced by Tomas Vokoun in the net, and what Pittsburgh need to do to take care of the Islanders and advance.

Other topics on this weeks show include:

  • What if the Penguins lose this series?
  • What changes might the Pens see heading into next season?
  • Similarities between the Penguins and Miami Heat, Sidney Crosby and LeBron James
  • Has the sub par performance of James McDonald cost the hurler a spot in the rotation?
  • Andrew McCutchen has a hot bat
  • And More!
