Phoenix Suns With Fifth Pick in 2013 NBA Draft

Apr 10, 2013; Dallas, TX, USA; Phoenix Suns power forward Marcus Morris (15) and point guard Goran Dragic (1) and power forward Markieff Morris (11) and center Jermaine O

The Phoenix Suns did not hit the lotto. They actually slipped a spot to the fifth pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.

Rich Gray is joined by Sean Crespin (Yes, he is a real person, not a Sasquatch or other mythical figure) to talk about the 2013 NBA Draft Lottery. In a weak draft class, the guys wonder if it matters where the Suns pick.

Both agree that new Suns GM Ryan McDonough has passed the eye ball test, but they want to know if he can find another diamond in the rough in this years draft. With the Suns picked at both 5 and 30, he has the opportunity to improve a Phoenix team that was less than stellar in 2012.

Sean brings up Vinny Del Negro as a possible new coach, but Rich has a different view on the former Clippers coach. Rich argues that the Suns need a coach who can get a lot out of a little, and thinks Bryan Shaw would be a better selection.
