San Antonio Spurs Have Been “Creepin” All Year

The San Antonio Spurs return to the NBA Finals should not be a surprise to anyone. Throughout the first few weeks of the season, we had them atop of our NBA Power Rankings in front of Miami and Oklahoma City. They are tough, gritty, and experienced.

This Spurs team has been the most consistent team in the league all year long. Often criticized for benching stars at various times on the road, coach Greg Popovich knew what he was doing. It’s a good idea to rest the legs of 37 year old superstars.

While the Heat, Thunder, and Lakers stole headlines in 2013, the San Antonio Spurs kept “Creepin” their way towards a fifth NBA Championship push. No matter the opponent, Miami or Indiana, the Spurs will be rested and ready, just how Pop had planned.
