Breakfast Bytes: NBA Coaching Changes Hinge on Doc Rivers Domino

Doc Rivers has not committed to coaching the Boston Celtics in the 2013-2014 season. While he is still under contract, media sources are indicating that Rivers is not crazy about sticking around during a rebuilding period in Boston. Can you really blame Rivers for wanting to coach a contender? Teams might be waiting to see what the veteran coach does before making any hires. Well, everyone except The Brooklyn Nets.

Sad news from the world of NASCAR. Jason Leffler died at Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey last night in a dirt track race.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is taking some heat for his stance on The Washington Redskins not changing their racially offensive name.

Game Four of the NBA Finals between The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat goes down tonight. Point Guard Tony Parker might not play.

Philadelphia Eagles fans still blame former coach Andy Reid for the teams failures. It doesn’t help that they employ idiots.

The NHL Stanley Cup Finals are underway. Last night should have counted as two games

Rivers had a contender the last 4 seasons and didn’t get it done. He’s one of the new, I’ll shop for a veteran team with everything in place guy. Buy a team for a season. A coach is a expert who knows how to get the right asst’s under him. Doc couldn’t teach the benchs all 4 seasons and wasn’t interested in no damn rookies. You know, like the no-namers helping San Antonio to a championship. He doesn’t even get the concept of coaching, when you look in the dictionary for coach you’ll see Popovic. He has his bench ready, all of them. He has the fire and trust in these players that gives young rookies the confidence to play. Rivers has a max 7-man rotation. Williams, Randolf, he really didn’t use his quality bench players because he didn’t know what he had. You can’t know unless you play them good minutes and coach them while their playing. Impart confidence not bench them the first mistake they make. Oh wait that must have happen to him on all those great Hawks teams.
