This past weekend, the Chicago Blackhawks traded centers Dave Bolland and Michael Frolik during the 2013 NHL Draft. Chicago made the moves in order to free up room to re-sign Bryan Bickell to a new contract.

Bolland was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs for two picks in the 2013 draft and one pick in the 2014 draft. Frolik was traded to the Winnipeg Jets for two picks in the 2013 draft.

Ricky Widmer of The Onside Kick gives his thoughts and opinions on the trades by the Chicago Blackhawks and what it does for the team moving forward. He also talks about how the Hawks might not need to look to free agency to fill some holes because of the guys that they have in their farm system.

Tell us what you think down below. Did the Blackhawks make the right moves in trading Bolland and Frolik? How much will you miss either player next season?
