On July 4th, the Boston Bruins traded their 21-year old center Tyler Seguin to the Dallas Stars. The trade featured seven players in which Boston received four players from Dallas and Dallas received three players from Boston.

Boston executed the trade in order to free of cap space for the organization. Seguin comes with a salary-cap hit of $5.75 million through the 2018-19 season, and Boston needed to re-sign center Patrice Bergeron and goaltender Tuukka Rask.

Ricky Widmer of The Onside Kick gives his thoughts and opinions on the trade made by the Boston Bruins and the Dallas Stars. He talks about his first reaction to the trade and then discusses why Boston needed to pull the trigger and how it helps both sides out going forward (some more than others).

Tell us what you think down below. Did the Bruins make the right moves in trading Seguin? How much will will Tyler Seguin be able to help the Stars right away in Dallas?
