Last Thursday, ESPN’s NFL Draft expert Todd McShay released his third and latest mock draft for the 2014 NFL Draft.
The biggest shock in McShay’s 3.0 version is that he has the Houston Texans selecting quarterback Blake Bortles with their 1st overall pick. Out of the top three quarterbacks in the draft, Bortles was the only one to actually throw at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Ricky Widmer, Dave Oster, and Mark Weber dive in and examine the latest mock draft by McShay. They talk about Bortles being projected as the 1st overall pick, Manziel possibly falling out of the Top 5, Aaron Donald’s rise since the NFL Combine, and the post-Combine fall of Louis Nix III.
While talking about the 2014 NFL Draft, the guys also look at the upcoming free agnecy period in the NFL. They look at some big names and relate free agency to the draft as well.
Finally, Ricky, Dave, and Mark close out the podcast by taking a look at the Dallas Cowboys and their new deal with quarterback Tony Romo.
